About us

Founded by actress, philanthropist, and Chicago native Ta’Rhonda Jones, the Self-Empowerment Educational Development (S.E.E.D.) Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting and resourcing creatives across the city. We believe that every artist deserves the tools, space, and support to bring their vision to life—no matter their zip code or starting point.
